Northside Truck & Van offer the sale, service and repair of the entire Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle range.

Partnering businesses since the 1970's, we have spent 40 years growing our network, which now spans all corners of Yorkshire, with our depots in Bradford, Doncaster, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield and York. In 2011 we took our first steps outside of Yorkshire by establishing a new site in Immingham, North Lincolnshire.

Since our beginnings, we have developed more than just buildings. Our investors in people scheme has received silver accreditation.

Introducing the wide-ranging Customer Charter 10 Steps

This Charter commits the entire company workforce to a series of 10 pledges which, taken together, raise commercial vehicle dealership service levels to a new high.

The Charter covers everything from the speed with which it answers incoming phone calls (10 seconds at most) and informs customers that their jobs have been completed (no more than 10 minutes), to the maximum period before it starts work on an unplanned repair (10 hours) and the time by which any operator whose vehicle is off the road for more than 24 hours will be contacted with a daily update (10 am).

Northside’s Customer Charter has been 18 months in the making and, following trials involving 70 customers (five truck and van operators served by each branch), has now been implemented.

Crucially, all commitments are measurable and performance levels will be audited regularly, with any breaches addressed.After Sales Director Russ Hallowes recalls: “A fleet customer asked me if we’re setting ourselves up for a fall but we’ve put a lot of work into this project, and staff are fully behind it, so I’m confident we can deliver on every one of these pledges.”
